It’s perfect for groups, with plenty of space to relax and enjoy the gorgeous views of St. Augustine, the lighthouse, and the historic bridges. Boarding was simple, and parking at the Vilano Pier couldn’t have been easier. A great way to spend time on the water and see the city from a new angle.

Great boat for viewing the "Nights of Lights". Did the 9.30pm tour. We thought it was the best way to see the lights.

What a perfectly wonderful experience! So much better than riding the trolley or driving around the city. The lights are so impressive from the water. And the red boat crew is absolutely fabulous. We learned some historical facts, Heard some dad jokes and enjoyed the hot chocolate and cookies. I would highly recommend to families, individuals or groups.

We had an outstanding experience with the Nights of Lights – Sunset Cruise (5:15 trip) and would absolutely do it again.From the beginning, the team was fantastic. I originally booked the wrong sailing (I didn’t realize one of the later trips was adults-only), and the staff could not have been more helpful or patient. They quickly worked with us to rebook to an earlier, family-friendly time — and made the entire process easy and stress-free.The cruise itself was terrific. The boat was comfortable, the views were incredible, and the crew was clearly experienced, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable. They shared great insights about the area while still giving us time to just relax and enjoy the scenery.Our kids especially loved the extras — warm cookies, hot chocolate, and the fun atmosphere on board. Those little touches really made the evening special.Overall, this was one of the highlights of our trip — a great value, wonderfully run, and truly memorable. Highly recommend.

I took my parents on the Sunset Christmas Eve cruise and we all want to do it again! The crew is super friendly, funny, and took good care of my mom who needed a ramp put up to use her walker. The crowd was all ages and a lot of fun. We also enjoyed the mix of music both Christmas and regular. It was well worth the price.
Everyone was so kind and festive! Coco, cookies, cool glasses and pictures were the bonus to the beautiful lights and history and culture of St Augustine. Highly recommend!
The two men who welcomed us, narrated our lighted boat tour, and interesting facts about the Oldest City. We were served hot chocolate and unlimited cookies! Had a great time. Everyone on the boat enjoyed and interacted with each other even though didnt know each other! Friends birthdays were celebrated with a brought along cooler and then the Red Boat Tour company gave them nice mugs. Best way to avoid traffic and crowds but also see the lights along the river bank looking at downtown.

We visited St Augustine for the first time very recently and took a Red Boat Tour for the "Nights of Lights". We thoroughly enjoyed the 7:30 pm cruise which lasted about 1-1/2 hours. Dave did an excellent job piloting the boat for spectacular views of the street of lights. We also enjoyed the fresh Chocolate chip cookies and the Hot Coca served by first mate Cheyenne.
We had a wonderful time on our Sunset/Lights tour. The boat was comfortable and not crowded, the lights were stunning, and the ride was smooth. Captain Dave gave a fun and informative presentation, while TJ served treats with a smile and even offered to snap a picture for us. Definitely a great way to spend our travel dollars.
Great boat tour. I've done the nights of light tour 4 times and a sunset cruise in spring once. Always a pleasure. Captain is informative and funny. The boat is well maintained. A family owned operation, you won't go wrong with making this part of your trip to St Augustine or just a fun night out if you're local to the area.
This was a fantastic way to city the beautiful lights this time of year! The Captain and First Mate did everything possible to make this a great trip for all of us on board. Prior to the tour we went to Beaches restaurant, sat on the deck overlooking the water, had a drink and listened to live music. Highly recommend Red Boat Tours! We will be doing this again!

Captain James and First Mate Roy were very knowledgeable and courteous. This was an amazing outing for nights if lights. My family has been here for years we always chose the Holly Jolly Trolly but the Red Boat Cruise has been the best view yet.
Even a little north wind couldn't keep us from having a gr3at time with Capt. Dave and Roy. Blankets, cookies, hotel chocolate, the lights of St. Augustine and plenty of Christmas music. It was a memorable night!

We did the nights of lights 9:15pm tour and it was definitely the highlight of our trip! I’m so glad we decided to book with them. Captain James and first mate Victoria were both so wonderful and made the experience so special! Sometimes tours like these can feel like a tourist trap but I felt like we absolutely got our money’s worth. You can tell they genuinely enjoy what they do and we appreciated all of the little things like the hot coco, cookies, and special light glasses! It was the perfect way to see all the lights and learn some fun facts about St. Augustine. We definitely plan to do another tour with them when we come back!

One of the best sunset cruises in the area specifically made for families in mind! Captain James was funny and insightful, and kept us safe and steady at the helm for a very smooth ride. Victoria was also a wonderful hostess and made the kids happy with delicious hot chocolate and cookies! Great way to end the evening and explore the beautiful St Augustine skyline and waters, we even got to see a dolphin!

Bar none, this is the absolute best boat tour company and the best way to see the nights of lights. We made our reservations the same day over the phone and were told about the restaurant next door if we wanted to eat before the 5:00 sailing. So around 3:30 we headed off to Beaches at Vilano for a delicious late lunch/early dinner. We even got 10% off because we were booked for a boat tour. We especially liked their location and free no hassle parking.

We had a beautiful November day for the Red Boat dolphin cruise! Captain David and TJ were great hosts. They made sure we got to see pods of dolphins during our 1 1/2 hour tour. We also spotted Osprey and a sea turtle--bonus! The boat tour was a perfect way to see and learn a bit more about historic St. Augustine.
Saw so many dolphins here and the lighthouse. I went a few weeks before my birthday and they gave me a beautiful mug. I would highly recommend this tour to everyone. The guides were so friendly and welcoming.

We thoroughly enjoyed the dolphin cruise with Red Boat! We spotted dolphins immediately as we left the pier! Tony & Roy were gracious host. They gave us a water view of the historical landmarks of the original settlement. Bonus views of bald eagle and ospreys! The boat was spotless as well. I highly recommend taking this tour! It lasts about 1.5 hours.

We scheduled a dolphin tour in St. Augustine this past weekend. It was such a relaxing and amazing experience to see St Augustine from the water side. I really love this experience. It was a BYOB sunset cruise with fun people. Not quite peaceful enough to be romantic, but still 5 stars for me because the captain was great and we saw great wildlife, including so many dolphins! I'm sorry I don't remember his name (maybe Tony?) but he was knowledgeable about the area, played good music, and narrated just the right amount.

As residents of St. Augustine, we are always eager to take any of our family or friends on a Red Boat Tour. This time it was the Dolphin Tour and the trip was a big hit with everyone. Captain Tom and assistant Vicky were wonderful. We saw lots of dolphins and all the landmarks of St Augustine. The boat was very accommodating for my aunt who is wheelchair bound. The music was relaxing and not too loud.

We went on the July 4th fireworks cruise and had the best time! The boat was clean, crew was fantastic. We loved the banter between the Captain and his mates! I purchased a tour for my wife’s birthday to get out the house and see Saint Augustine. This is well worth it. The kids love it. Great price, weather is great. I’d recommend this to everyone either visiting or just wanting to get out on the weekend.

We have been on this day tour a couple of times with visitors and enjoyed it a lot! The crew is informative and do their best to point out the wild life as well as historic points of interest in St Augustine. Parking is easy to find too, unlike the old city parking on crowded weekends.
So when we researched boat tours in the St Augustine area our priorities were value, nights of lights and ease of access. Some boat tours you have to buy in one place, drive to another place, pay for parking, then walk to a pier. It's kind of insane especially when you see it online on website then if you see the boat in their pictures on the boat themselves is a different website. Kinda crazy.
We chose red boat because they presented online exactly what you get in person. That's integrity. We expected a boat tour with knowledgeable staff who know the history and maintain a safe atmosphere even with half a dozen very, very excited children on board. That is what we got.
What we didn't expect was treats. It was a rather chilly night on the water, what better way to warm up then hot chocolate delivered to you with a smile?
What better way to enjoy it than with a cookie?
Both complementary mind you.
Also the special holiday themed glasses giving lights a halo effect were a nice surprise.
In most tourist destinations it can be hard to get what you pay for. Alot of attractions don't deliver the expectations that they advertise.
Red boat was easy to work with online and by phone even with a 74% chance of rain the captain still had the boat ready in case our time slot had clear enough weather to go out and thankfully the weather held and we were able to go.
Parking is easy and freely available at the pier with a very short walk to the boat. Boat leaves on time which is very much appreciated. As reliable as a Japanese train.
Red boat delivers. For the full 90 minutes. We got what we paid for and more.

The tour is very relaxing, they take you right by the St. Augustine Fort. We saw a few dolphin pods, & an absolutely phenomenal sunset! Purchased on Groupon and immediately bought additional tickets for the next time I can get out here again. Definitely recommend if you’re in the area.

We attended today's 11:00 dolphin watching tour. We had four kids with, so I was nervous about the experience. It was wonderful. There was very comfortable seating for the entire family. The boat was well maintained and very clean. The staff, both father and son were very friendly and made the excursion fun. They had cold water for everybody on this hot day. We got to see a ton of dolphins that came right up next to our boat, and a lot of lovely sightseeing tours. Honestly, the tour was so nice that even if we hadn't seen dolphins it would still have been fun.
Captain was great and very knowledgeable. Even the first mate was pleasant she came around and had small talk with everybody which was very nice. We saw quite a few dolphins and great architecture along the coast.

Our family did the dolphin tour this week and it was wonderful. The captain and crew member were super knowledgeable and taught us a great deal about dolphins and the history in the area. We had an amazing show and saw lots of dolphins. They provided complementary water which was a nice touch on a super hot day (with lots of littles) 10/10 recommend.

We absolutely loved red boat tours! The captain and his wife are so friendly and kind. We went on the nights of lights cruise, and it was a bit chilly, so they provided blankets. They also gave us hot cocoa, cookies, and chocolates for the ride. You are also welcome to bring your own drinks.

We had a wonderful sunset tour with Captain John and Sydney (not Savannah). The music was great, commentary was fun, and the blankets were a nice touch on cool evening. We will definitely book again when we come back!
We had a party of 7 ( ages 14 to 63) and had such a great time! Not only were the captain and first mate very nice and informative, they offered blankets, took photos of passengers, told jokes, gave us cookies and some great information about this beautiful city! I highly recommend this tour!!!!

We had a nice tour with Captain Tony and his wonderful daughter Sydney for the Night of lights tour. They kindly offered blankets and cookies. No beverages for purchase but they do allow you to BYO? Saves all the walking around and offers a front row seat to experience the benefits of seeing the city of St. Augustine all lit up!!

Once again we had a great time on St. Augustine's Red Boat Tours. This was our fourth time doing the holiday cruise. This is a fantastic way to see the Nights of Lights from a different perspective. Looking forward to doing it again next year.

Our tour was for “nights of lights” 10/10 best way to view the Christmas lights! The boat ride gets you up super close to the lights where you’ll be able to get plenty of amazing photos! Our family went out on the Dolphin Tour with Captain John and Savannah. We saw dolphins, porpoises, ospreys and pelicans. We were excited to observe them in their natural habitats. We were treated exceptionally well by Savannah and Captain John. We plan to take the adult cruise next time. Thanks to Red Boat Tours for providing us with a boat tour that was well worth the money and the time it took to get to St. Augustine from Middleburg. We highly recommend this tour boat for adults and children.
