Red Boat Tour Reviews

Wow! Thank you Captain Tony and Ms. Jennifer for a terrific evening on Matanzas Bay. Your boat and service are top notch. The sunset was gorgeous. We loved seeing the Cross from the bay side and up so close. Most of us were born and raised in Jacksonville and we decided to spend a birthday celebration weekend being tourists in our beloved St. Augustine. It was so much fun. You took such good care of us. We highly recommend locals and visitors to head over to the Big Red Boat and enjoy the beauty of St. Augustine from the water. We'll definitely be back and will bring our friends and relatives.

We had been on the dolphin odyssey tour in August and the kids had a blast! My son’s birthday is in November and I booked again thinking this would just be a sunset cruise. Boy was I wrong! We saw more dolphins on our second cruise than on the first!! His birthday was a huge success in large part to Capt. Tony and ms Jennifer! Thanks again!

We have taken many water tours, sails, cruises over the years as we were once in the business. These folks want you to be very happy and they do it! We did the Nights Of Lights tour last week and it was great. Didn't expect them to have blankets and the bonus of special Christmas glasses to see gingerbread men with! What a loving caring crew. They know the area very well, know the history. Hats off to Tony and Jennifer for doing the best tour in the area. We will be back for the dolphin tour.

So cold last night that we renamed the White Pelican, the White Penguin. It made the cruise even more memorable. Capt. Tony provided the great narrative, while Jen kept us warm with Hot Chocolate and blankets. St. Augustine looked beautiful covered in white lights. Thanks again for a terrific tour!

There's one way to enjoy the "Night of Lights" in downtown St. Augustine without all the traffic - and that is with a Red Boat water tour. Captain Tony and First Mate Jennifer provide an enchanting evening of smooth water riding, while the Captain give you the history of St. Augustine as he steers his craft along the shoreline close to the lights and even through the Bridge of Lions. Lovely way to spend an evening and in chilly weather, they provide warm blankets - so don't let the weather deter you at this time of year!

We had a great tour, I have never seen so many dolphins and they were swimming right up to us. Capt. Tony and Jennifer were so much fun and very knowledgeable about the area. The boat was comfortable and having water and a bathroom on board was a bonus. I loved seeing the fort from the water. We will certainly do this again.

Our original tour had to be rescheduled due to rain and high winds. It was too dangerous to take the boat out. So they scheduled for the next day, which was sunny and clear. The couple who run the Red Boat Dolphin Adventure are a fun, educational and helpful crew who excell in customer service. We had a great time on the boat, we saw lots of dolphins and sea birds. The captain steered while telling us about dolphin behavior and about the other sights and local history. The 1st mate ( his lovely and talented wife) entertained restless children and generally wrangled the customers. We have nothing but good things to say about our experience.

All the other reviews were spot on, what a really great evening, money well spent. From start to finish everyone was very friendly.

Took my parents on the dolphin sightseeing cruise. Tony and Jennifer were a delight to cruise with! We saw so many dolphins and Tony gave us a lot of history about the town. Jennifer was so nice and walked around and talked to everyone. They also offered blankets and water. Would definitely do it again!

We enjoyed this trip so much. It was much more than a dolphin trip. All sorts of information was shared with us. Tony and his lovely wife made everyone so comfortable. Played great music and did not give up the search until we found dolphin. A great trip for the money. Highly recommended.

I booked an afternoon tour for myself, my husband, father in law, and children aged 7 and 11. We were able to get a reservation for our last day in town (they book up pretty quickly for weekends). We were met by Jennifer and Captain Tony at the boat. They are friendly and kind, and even waited on a few stragglers (whereas other companies leave right on time with or without you). As soon as you leave the dock you are free to move around the boat, which is great for dolphin viewing. Capt. Tony and Jennifer both shared stories of the surrounding views, explained why we stopped where we did to see the dolphins, and shared some history along the way. It was very entertaining. We got to see a few dolphins, but also got to go along the shore where the beautiful historic district is and got an awesome view of the fort. Our kids had never been on a boat, and we all enjoyed every second of the tour. They even have a cute little bathroom just in case.

My husband and I visited St Augustine during a 2 week holiday in Orlando. There was free parking available by the pier and we were able to quickly locate the boat, check in and board. The Captain and his First Mate were very professional, helpful and informative. Once we set sail, the Captain advised dolphins hadn’t been seen the day before, so we resigned ourselves that we wouldn’t see any. However, after about 45 minutes into the 90 minute voyage, we spotted dolphins. For the next 30 minutes we saw lots of dolphins, including groups with babies - and at times they were adjacent to the boat and jumping out of the water. A magical trip, and one we will book again next time we are in the area.

100% "EXCELLENT" Ratings? = No Mistake
As many others have said here, just a really nice, informative, entertaining, and relaxing couple of hours. Captain Tony & First Mate Jennifer are knowledgable, super friendly, and welcoming.  Definitely a recommended activity for anyone, tourist or locals.

The dolphins declined to co operate but it really did not matter! The crew were great fun and kept everyone entertained. Dolphins will do whatever they wish and the poor captain apologized for them but we had a great time. We took our three year old granddaughter and she loved it!

Absolutely breathtaking! Especially if you don’t grow up by the ocean! Lots of great historical facts are provided too! Would recommend!

We took guests from out of town and they loved it as much as us locals. Kids (teens), grandma, grandpa, mom and dad all enjoyed it. Dolphins, St Augustine History and a beautiful boat ride on a perfect afternoon. thanks Tony and Jennifer.

My wife and I went on the Sunset cruise and we had an amazing time! The captain was funny and informative. We are locals and we even learned a few new things! The captains wife was very friendly and hospitable. She walked around offering complimentary cold water and blankets to the passengers. The sights were gorgeous and there were dolphins swimming right next to the boat. Such a fun time and we highly recommend this tour!!

Wonderful People! Excellent experience! Highly recommended! The Groupon registration was a little bit confusing, but if you need help, just call Jennifer directly and she will patiently help you through it. I especially appreciate the shade, the magnificant views and the laidback attitude of everyone involved. Thanks so much, guys, you clearly actually enjoyed what you  were doing, which was so very nice and refreshing.

Our family had a great time on the tour. Saqw several dolphins and learned many new things about dolphins and the history of St Augustine. Captain Tony and Jennifer were super! They were genuinely nice and interested in their passengers. It was like spending an afternoon with friends-very relaxed and fun.

Today my husband and I took our five children out for the Dolphin Cruise. It was our first boat tour in St Augustine and Jennifer and Tony made it an awesome first time experience! They are both very friendly and knowledgeable. We enjoyed seeing lots of dolphins, many historical sites and even a Manatee! We very highly recommend their tour services! Thans for the fun and adventure today, your fellow Illinoisans!
